Please remember: every time you authorize an app or login to a website using Facebook, they have permission to post to your wall/timeline on your behalf. This is why your live feed shows “So and so is listening to someone on Spotify.” every few seconds; they authorized Facebook via their Spotify account. Today, this mostly refers to music. Tomorrow, it will refer to what you read, watch, play and buy. Facebook will soon know more about you than any other company on the planet. So next time you authorize an app, ask yourself if you want a single corporation to know so much about yourself, or more to the point, to know so much about all of us.
